I have always been and Artist, possibly more a closet artist since leaving school. In 2012 i was diagnosed with fibromyalgia & ME. It was a very scary time as i didn't know at the time what was wrong with me, why i was in so much pain, why i could barley walk or stay awake. When i was finally diagnosed it came as a bit of a shock as the conditions come with a lot of stigma attached. I was very fortunate to have a great supportive Doctor who sent me to the right people who in turn coached me in how to live with these conditions and most importantly accept the new me. Distraction was and still is the best method for me, and re-igniting my creative imagination has helped with living with these conditions every minute of every hour of every day. My art work has been a slow steady process over the years but i set myself a goal something to aim for, something i'd always wanted to do and that was to do an exhibition. In 2016 i researched, planned and organised a small event in Lincoln at the Gallery St Martins Square, supported by friends and family who i can't thank enough for travelling from far and wide to support me. But i must say a big thank you to Phil the owner of The Gallery St Martins square for allowing me to take over the gallery for a week, with my outrageous wacky artwork.
