From exhibition to T-Shirt designs?!

Updated: Mar 16, 2019

After my exhibition which was a personal achievement and success, i needed to set myself another goal, "but what?!".....The t-shirt designs really came from customers, friends and family ideas- suggestions in giving me a new project to work on. On my original web site, only the artwork was exhibited, and lots of comments were about"Oh they would look good on t-shirts". To be honest i hadn't even thought about t-shirts?! I have had mouse matts printed up and they look good. I even think the original art work would look good on walls in countries like Spain, Greece as they tend to have white walls which makes the art work stand out and look very cheery and vibrant in the sunny climates. They would definitely brighten up your holiday homes.

Whilst selling and buying a new house, moving to a new area, as anyone who's done it knows that it is a very exhaustive process, even more so if you've got two restrictive conditions to contend with, but i thought why not, i need another distraction and goal to aim for so I spent a year re-vamping the artwork into sluggyartworks designs and getting samples made up. Deciding on the best printing methods, fabric types and colour t-shirts to maintain the vibrancy of the art work was quite thought provoking but i also wanted to make the designs current, timeless and unique. Below are 4 samples of the 1st ever sluggyartworks designs. not bad eh!

The t-shirts had to be of good quality, 100% cotton, soft in texture, wash well. So after having 14 designs printed on t-shirts, i then did the wash and wear test myself over a period of time to make sure the quality of the designs were maintained, so that the customers know how to best look after there timeless unique pieces of clothing.
